Latest News

One of the driving forces behind our school was proudly named in the New Year’s Honours list. Lawrence Forshaw, 87, life president of our governing body was awarded an MBE for ‘Services to Education’.

Mr Forshaw from Burnley Road has been a governor at the school for more than 35 years, originally as a parent governor after his daughter Katie started at the school.

If you are interested in a teaching career then it may be useful for you to attend one of our Train to Teach Open Events.

This event may be of interest to any parents/carers who wish to develop a greater understanding of ASD and how to manage, support and encourage your child.

Snow Closure Arrangements

The weather forecasts are beginning to suggest that winter may be coming and I would remind you that, in the event of snow, there are a number of ways in which you can obtain information. We are again sending out our letter regarding 'Snow Closure Arrangements' and I would ask that you refer to this in the event of poor weather. May I emphasise that we do all that we can to keep the school open for the benefit of the students and would only consider any form of closure in the most exceptional of circumstances. In the event of poor weather, please refer to the 'Snow Closure Arrangements' letter.
